Bilingual Clinic Receptionist and Intake Coordinator (Full Time) 

The Ottawa Integrative Cancer Centre (OICC) is a model interdisciplinary community based healthcare centre providing whole-person complementary and integrative care to people with cancer, cancer survivors, and those seeking primary and secondary cancer prevention. The OICC is formally part of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). CCNM, a registered charity, is Canada's premier institute for education and research in naturopathic medicine.  As a stand-alone Centre located in Ottawa, the OICC provides a dynamic work environment characterized by a mid-sized team that work together to support our patients, staff and healthcare practitioners and is actively engaged in innovative research.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated Bilingual Clinic Receptionist and Intake Coordinator. Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for all patients and visitors entering the clinic, this person will provide a friendly and invitational atmosphere and ensure that each visitor is attended to in a professional and welcoming manner upon entry. This position will take an ambassadorial role for the Centre and involve promotion through our social media platforms and website. This position will answer and direct calls; check voicemail and respond to messages and emails; book and schedule appointments; greet visitors and customers with excellent customer service; collect fees and issue receipts for services rendered; provide assistance to practitioners to meet operational requirements, and assist with administrative tasks assigned by the Clinic Manager.

The clinic is currently open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.  The clinic is located at 29 Bayswater Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario


·       Experience working in a medical reception or administrative position is an asset

·       Experience with computer programs including MS Office

·       Familiarity with patient booking and electronic medical records

·       Detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

·       Ability to exercise professional judgment in a highly confidential environment

·       Fluent in English and French

·       Experience with OHIP billing systems is an asset

·       Experience with social media an asset
